The Dave Banks Big Band- This powerhouse 17 piece swinging big band is
based out of Akron, Ohio and is led by Ohio native and 20 year Las Vegas
veteran trumpet artist, Dave Banks. The band boasts of having the very top
players in the Northeast Ohio area including trumpeter John English, saxophonists Don Turoso, Bob Esterle and Dave Kana, trombonists Chas Baker, Scott Garlock and drummer Mark Gonder. Dave fronts the band with his soaring trumpet reminding you of Doc Severinson, Harry James and Maynard Ferguson. This band will definitely make your event sparkle. Their repertoire ranges from original compositions to standard big band favorites. Featured vocalists have included Peggy Coyle, Shannon Eller, Marsha Newman, Barb Knight, Helen Welch, Michael Sonata, John Morton, Frederick Davis and Paul Hoffman.
Their library of big band music includes hit songs arranged by the best writers in the business. They have played to packed houses at the Cleveland Bop Stop, Carousel Dinner Theatre, The Tangier Ballroom and The Kent Stage. They will travel the United States, Canada and Europe and are available for Cruise Ship bookings.

RAT PACK MANIA!! DBBB Backs Two Terrific Shows!

The Dave Banks Big Band, with guest stars Michael Sonata and Scott Brotherton stormed Warren's Packard Hall on December 3rd as they presented "Back To Vegas with Frank, Dean, and The Dave Banks Big Band." 1500 people attended and a heartfelt standing ovation at the end of the show was the result. WNIR radio host and "Rockin' On The River" producer Bob Earley, along with Warren's Kenny Hidaris promoted the show. On December 17th, the DBBB also played at "home" as they were at the legendary Tangier Cabaret Room backing Tony Sands and the "Reflections of the Rat Pack" show. Tony was featured as "Frank," and Luciano Correa and Nicholas Brooks gave their impressions of Dean and Sammy. The cabaret room proved an absolutely perfect setting for this show as it truly represents the classic Las Vegas showroom. Dave should know, being a 20 year veteran of those very rooms!

The DBBB will "let it's hair down" and dig into some of it's great charts from our book when it invades Lakeland Community College on February 26 at 4:00pm. The Jazz Festival will feature our fine artists as the featured final group of the Festival. Stay tuned for more details.
