The newest in the DB line of mouthpieces, the SYNERGY line brings you the result of an epic quest that had its beginnings over 40 years ago and that finally culminated this past year combining tone, versatility, power, projection, size, and oh, good looks! Drawing upon my experiences with many past and current masters of the mouthpiece industry and now in collaboration with Dave Wooten of the Las Vegas Trumpet® Company, the SYNERGY provides comfort in every situation, consistency in all registers, and ease of performance that gives the player the confidence just to be musical. Two matching rim sizes, with just the right amount of mass that gives the piece a beautiful neo-classical design that allows them to stand out! There is literally a piece for each playing situation.
All come with a medium open backbore and a 25 throat. Choose from the following:
Lead- .6314 inner diameter, extra shallow cup, comfort rim, screaming lead piece!
Lead Z- As above, but with a regular rim
6.5 Z- .655 inner diameter, extra shallow cup. Lead or show piece! Very versatile.
Studio- .660 inner diameter, shallow cup, comfort rim. Fantastic lead piece that doesn't bottom out.
Studio Z- As above, but with a regular rim.
SO- .660 inner diameter, medium C cup, comfort rim. Symphonic and orchestral applications.
SO 3- As above, but with a regular rim.
6SW- The original! .660 inner diameter, medium shallow cup, lightweight blank, comfort rim! Shows!
6S- As above, but with a regular rim. Great music theatre piece!
